As light moves across this 3D wood relief, different parts of the Achaemenid lion hunt stand out. For someone who loves Persian history, it can feel like bringing a small part of that ancient world into their home.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI carve each piece from solid beech wood using CNC to create the main shape and raised depth. I then hand-sand the surface and edges and add laser detailing to bring out Darius, the chariot, horses, lions, palm trees, winged figure, and smaller lines. The wood is finished with shellac to help protect the surface while keeping the natural grain visible.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis 7\" x 7\" x 0.5\" wall art has enough detail to stand on its own. It can also be paired with other Persian history pieces from my shop, such as the Persepolis Guard, Royal Audience, Lion and Bull, Double Bull Capital, or Shahriar and the Lion.
