Anahita is one of the ancient Persian female figures connected with water, life, purity, and growth. I wanted this carving to feel graceful and strong at the same time. For someone who feels close to Persian history, powerful women, or old mythology, this piece can feel like more than decoration. It can be a way to keep a beautiful part of that history close.

The design is inspired by ancient Persian and Sasanian art rather than one exact surviving statue. I brought together a long flowing robe, round frame, vines, flowers, and paired peacocks to create a rich but balanced composition. These decorative elements are part of my interpretation of the piece rather than a recreation of one specific historical image.

I carve each piece from solid beech wood using CNC, then hand-sand the surface and edges for a clean finished feel. Laser detail helps bring out Anahita’s face, clothing, floral patterns, birds, and smaller carved lines. I finish the wood with shellac to help protect the surface while keeping the natural grain visible.

This 7" x 7" x 0.5" wall art can stand alone or be paired with other Persian history, mythology, or ancient symbol pieces from my shop.

I use the same square frame size and style across many of my carved wall art pieces, so this Anahita relief can easily become part of a larger collection. It pairs well with designs such as the Faravahar, Lion and Sun, Royal Seal of Darius, Persepolis Guard, Winged Lion, or other Persian pieces if you want to build a wall display over time that feels connected and balanced.
