I made this Bald Eagle and American Flag relief for someone who wants a piece that feels respectful, steady, and meaningful. The eagle and flag together carry a strong sense of country, service, remembrance, and the responsibility to protect what matters.
The bald eagle has long been seen as a symbol of strength, freedom, watchfulness, and courage. Paired with the American flag, the piece becomes more than an eagle image. It can hold meaning for a veteran, a service member, a family member, or anyone who wants a quiet reminder of sacrifice, pride, and national identity.
The piece starts as solid beech wood and is CNC-carved to shape the eagle’s profile, feather details, and waving flag. After carving, I hand-sand the surface and edges, then add laser detail to sharpen the smaller lines in the feathers, eye, stars, and flag folds. A shellac finish gives the wood a warm natural tone and helps protect the surface.
This 7" x 7" x 0.5" carved wall art can be displayed in an office, study, hallway, family room, service member’s space, or a patriotic display area where the meaning of the piece can be seen with respect.
