Some symbols are carried through family stories, flags, memories, and the feeling of belonging to a place. I created this Mexican Coat of Arms relief for someone who sees the eagle, serpent, and cactus as more than an emblem, but as a reminder of heritage, origin, and pride.
The Mexican Coat of Arms shows the eagle, serpent, and cactus, a symbol tied to the founding story of Tenochtitlan and the roots of Mexico City. Over time, this image became a lasting emblem of identity, endurance, sovereignty, and connection to place. It is more than an eagle image. It carries a story of origin, strength, and continuity.
I CNC carve each relief from solid beech wood, then hand-sand the surface and edges for a clean finished feel. The laser detailing brings out the eagle, serpent, cactus, feather lines, and surrounding details. I finish the piece with shellac to give the wood a warm natural tone and help protect the surface.
This 7" x 7" x 0.5" carved wood wall art can be displayed in a home, office, entryway, bookshelf, desk area, or personal corner where heritage pieces and meaningful symbols are kept.
