This Simurgh relief was made for someone who connects with the idea of wisdom that comes from patience, experience, and care. It is for a person who sees this mythical bird as a symbol of guidance, protection, and quiet strength.
In Persian mythology, the Simurgh is often understood as a wise and protective figure. It is not usually seen as a creature of fear or destruction, but as a guide that appears when help, healing, or insight is needed. For many people, Simurgh carries a message of wisdom, healing, and being watched over.
The piece starts as solid beech wood and is CNC-carved to shape the raised wings, layered feathers, and flowing tail. After carving, I hand-sand the surface and edges, then add laser detail to sharpen the smaller feather lines and curves. A shellac finish gives the wood a warm natural tone and helps protect the surface.
