These two pieces bring together different parts of Persian history in one matching two-piece set. The Faravahar carries a familiar message about values, identity, and the path we choose in life. The Lion and Sun has its own long connection to Persian identity. For someone who wants to keep that connection close, this pair can feel like more than wall art. It can become a small collection that represents where those stories came from and what they still mean today.
Both designs are carved as 3D wood reliefs, so the figures and details rise from the surface instead of sitting flat like a print or simple engraving. The larger 11-inch size gives each design more room to show its depth and detail while allowing the two pieces to feel balanced when displayed together.
I carve each piece from solid hard maple using CNC to create the main shape and raised depth. After carving, I hand-sand the surfaces and edges and add laser detailing to bring out the smaller lines and features. Each piece is finished with shellac to help protect the wood while keeping the natural grain visible.
You will receive two separate wall art pieces: one Faravahar and one Lion and Sun. Each piece measures 11" × 11" × 0.7". They can be displayed close together as a matching pair or placed separately while still keeping the same material, size, frame style, and overall look.
This set can also become the beginning of a larger Persian wall art collection. The same square frame style is used across many of my other Persian history and symbol pieces, so additional designs can be added over time.

Both pieces are made from natural solid hard maple. Grain patterns, tone variation, and small natural markings will vary from piece to piece. Because natural wood is unique, the two pieces may have slight differences in grain or tone while still being made and finished as a matching set.
