Persepolis Lion and Bull Wall Art – Ancient Persian Relief Carving on Beech Wood, Handmade in USA

There’s something powerful about this ancient Persian symbol. I carved this Lion and Bull scene from solid beech wood, inspired by the famous stone reliefs at Persepolis. It’s more than decoration—this piece carries centuries of history and meaning, often seen as a symbol of balance or the eternal struggle between forces.

Each plaque is 7" x 7" and about half an inch thick. I shape it with precision tools, then hand-finish and laser-engrave the fine details to bring out the expression and texture in the wood grain. The result is warm, solid, and detailed—designed to last.

It makes a unique gift for anyone who appreciates ancient art, Persian heritage, or just something beautifully uncommon.
